Wire Rope Hoist & Hoist Drum Repair

Lyons can repair wire rope hoists and hoist drums made of steel, we cannot repair cast iron units.

First we undercut the body to achieve a clean surface before building up the new body.

Next, we use submerged arc welding to weld worn rope areas.

We then re-machine the grooves to your specifications.

We have the capabilities to inspect and replace, if necessary, the axles, bearings, gear seal fits and hosuing for the gears and bearings.

Lyons then conducts UT testing to inspect for quality and compliance with all overhead lifting device safety codes.
